Only two weeks after the Project Meeting in Campobasso, I was very happy to be back in Italy, this time in Florence, at the International Conference on ICT for Language Learning. The conference attracted a truly international audience of 300 or so participants, the vast majority of them classroom teachers of language. There were languages as diverse as Maori, Slovene and Japanese under discussion, though English predominated. As a few other Lifelong Learning projects had spotted, this was a perfect opportunity to explain the SIMOLA/Lingobee project and there was a lot of interest in the app (slides here: ICT4LL-Pemberton). I think this clarified one of the key target audiences for Lingobee: together with EuroCALL, this is where we will find our users, for formal learning settings at least.
